Michelle Yu and her father Bo, songwriting and recording artists of the song “Where Are You, Amelia,” and family made a lifetime milestone visit to the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum October 23. During their visit, Michelle and Bo got the chance to deepen their connection to Amelia Earhart and her legacy. Indeed, Amelia Earhart’s legacy has so moved Michelle that she donated part of her earnings from her summer lifeguard job to the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum. We are honored to be able to continue inspiring future generations with Amelia Earhart’s legacy, and we hope that you too may consider a donation to the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum to continue to preserve Amelia Earhart’s legacy in honor of Michelle and the many young minds still being inspired today.

In case you have not yet seen and heard this beautiful, original composition in honor of Amelia Earhart by Bo and Michelle Meiqi Yu, see below.  If you did attend the Ninety-Nines International Conference in Vermont and were present for the opening performance, and/or have read and listened to the email below, we want to bring you up to date.

If you attended the Ninety Nines International Conference in Vermont, you may recall the moving opening performance that held the crowd spellbound - “WHERE ARE YOU, AMELIA”.  This amazing original composition was written by a father and daughter team, emotionally moved and inspired by the life of "our" Amelia Earhart.  It was released to the world during a global premiere in May.

Subsequently, composers and performing artists Bo and Michelle Meiqi Yu have brought international recognition to the Ninety Nines and Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum by entrusting “WHERE ARE YOU, AMELIA” to "our" permanent collection.  As Trustees, we are both humbled and honored by such thoughtfulness, creativity and generosity.

If you did not attend the Conference, please enjoy this "priceless" rendition here with our compliments.  As you are so moved, please consider a personal gift to help us promote this pioneering force for women, in part, by properly housing and maintaining this original composition, alongside the museum's other invaluable collections, in perpetuity.   https://www.ameliaearhartmuseum.org/donate
